Roosevelt Donaldson was born December 10, 1943 in Grady, Arkansas to the late Robert and Margretree Bluford Donaldson. He was baptized at an early age at New Baptist Missionary Church in Grady, Arkansas under the leadership of Reverend R. J. Jones.
He attended Grady Public School, graduating in 1962. He then attended AM&N College (currently UAPB). He worked and retired from the Little Rock School District in 2016. He
was loved and admired by everyone at Washington Elementary and everyone he met. His professional Lawn Care Service was a great pride of his for over thirty years. He was a pillar of support for the Recovery Community, a mentor, and a friend to all persons he came in contract with. He was a lover of life and people from all walks of life. He was an UNCONDITIONAL GIVER.
He loved his family, friends, and was at all times a very caring father and grandfather. He never failed to put a smile on your face, and you knew everything was alright when you heard him say "Just Lovely."
He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers-Roger Davis Morris, Jr. and Authur Morris.
He leaves to cherish a lifetime of memories his brothers-Ivory Donaldson of Pine Bluff, AR and Earnest Donaldson of Chicago, IL; sons-Charles Edward Washington of Fayetteville, AR, Derrek Scott (Lisa) of North Little Rock, AR; his daughters- Karen Smith (Tony) of Rison, AR, Traci R. Donaldson of Dublin, CA, and Sheila Jeannine Washington of Pine Bluff, AR; six grandchildren -Rogric Smith of Maumelle, AR, Shannon Smith of Fayetteville, AR, Noah Washington of Fayetteville, AR, Dior Cooper and Sasha Kelley of Dublin, CA, and Dominique Wawak of North Little Rock, AR; three great grandchildren- Ameenah Buckner Williams and Kyrin Little Rock, AR; and a host of relatives and friends.
